What this is
Every other week we go looking for true stories about animals that are worth someone's time, and we point you at them. We do not rewrite the reporting and we do not claim it. Each pick is a short reason to care, a line from the piece itself, and a link straight to the people who did the work.
Each edition carries one story from somewhere specific, one about an animal that is not a dog or a cat, and at least one thing we did not know before.
